Update for 12/2016:
I just took the Google Educator Certification Level 1 Exam and passed. When I returned to the classroom last school year, I started using Google Slides for classroom presentations, and Sheets for lab data. I loved the collaborative element in Sheets. All of my students instantly had everyone's data to work with. Slides allowed me to work on the same presentation on my school computer, iPad, and home computer without worrying about my thumb drive. This year, I decided to start the process of converting my documents into Google Docs so when I made a change in a document, I didn't have to re-upload it to the LMS. Anyway, after all of this learning, I decided to make it official and take the test. There were still several Google apps I needed to learn, but am looking forward to using them in my classrooms soon.
This past April I took the level 2 exam. This summer (2017), I'm planning to work on the Apple Teacher certification to help me make even better use of our iPads since LCS is a one-to-one iPad high school.
